Take a drive to Damerscata and go to Gliden Oyster Farm. Worth the drive for the best of the freshest. Very sweet without the salty taste. If you want more, Schooner Landing. I think Eventide is a lot of talk of the best for the cruise ships and not locals.
The oysters are pricey (6 for $14), but very freaky fresh and worth every penny
I think I paid 16 bucks for 6 oysters pretty pricey but they were good
No$1 oysters. You go because of the selection of oysters. You go because of the menu. Which rocks. You go because of the lobster roll which is unlike anything anywhere and melts in your mouth
Not sure about happy hour oyesters, but it's a pretty expensive place in general. I can't imagine they would do buck a shuck.
It's a great place and it is not on the affordable/inexpensive side.
