Depends on many factors, especially the number of consecutive days spent digging through mounds of butt-scented trash. For you, 1LB of hopelessly tangled chargers for cell phones manufactured in the early 2000s may cost a couple bucks. But that lady next to you who's managed to wrangle 3 shopping carts simultaneously which are all overflowing with faded and forgotten porcelain nightmares, dog-eared wide-ruled notebook pads with the scribblings of children who will never visit her, and several costumes for her pantheon of cats that have all been thoughtfully chosen to match an aspect of the cat's personality traits which are actually just her projecting through all the broken little pieces of what was once a whole-person but buckled under the weight of a poor home life, complete lack of coping skills, and a hunger for the abyss that she knows can never be sated. This lady will not be paying in USD today, but instead will render payment using the rotten and weeping remnants of her soul.
I generally only buy furniture from this store. There are unspoken rules and codes of conduct for shopping from the bins and the per pound price is high in my opinion. I prefer shopping at the regular Goodwill Store.
The prices have increased. It is now $2.19 per lb if under 25 lbs. If you have over 25 lbs, its $1.29 per lb. If you don't have enough weight at check out, you can always ask someone to bundle with them so you both meet the weight requirement giving you both the lower price per pound.
Matthew, if you put all the answers together, you get the "big picture"... books (softback-$1, hardback-$2, children's-if memory serves-$.50) cds ($.50-$1), dvds ($1), furniture (priced individually) plus a smattering of "per-each " on power tools, tools (shovels, rakes, etc), framed pictures/paintings, mirrors, exercise equipment, aquariums, auto parts (push-bumpers, nerf bars, roll bars, etc), arcade games, and as my good friend F.G. is fond of saying, "Goodwill Outlet stores are like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get"... Price per pound on bins/rolling tables are: $2.19 for 1-24lbs, 25lbs & up-$1.29 per lb. Incredible prices on office & home furniture. Price reductions start after items have been the floor for a day or two. When you go in" always check out the display case and items behind the display case as that is where some real goodies are found. Just know nothing is held, buy it right then & there if you want it as nothing lasts long! Good luck/enjoy!
