Is this for a dog or cat? I have a lab/hound mix and have gound that the Nexguard chews work great for him. I have tried the topical Frontline previously and it wasn't as effective as the chews.

Go to any Farm Feed store and buy FOOD GRADE Diatomaceous Earth ... it’s a white powder. Put a spoonful in the dogs food every day. No more fleas. Vets have tried to talk me out of it for years, because they will find a dead flea on my dog from time to time. The key word in that is DEAD FLEA carcass, not a live Flea. It’s an old cheap remedy that works. Just adjust the amount by the weight of the dog.
Fleas dont like cinnamon,lavender,tea tree oil or cedar. I bathe my dogs once a month in tea tree oil shampoo to keep fleas at bay its cheaper and it works. Hope that helps.

I used the nexguard on puppy it seemed to work pretty well even tho won't chew the tablet. But found very few fleas
