We sell machines of all different types and price ranges. The Brother project runway models are very adorable and have lots of features designers love. We also offer pre-owned machines that have low prices. You can contact the store directly to see what They have in the way of pre-owned machines. We are not sure of where you might be able to get a free machine only one at a low price. The other thing to keep in mind is that we do offer free usage classes. So when your aspiring designer does get a machine we would be happy to help them learn how to use the machine. Our usage classes are free, even if you didn't purchase your machine from us.
Craigslist would be my best guess. Or maybe a cheap one from value village.
