Why does Safeway and Albertsons across street stay open til 1am only. There are only stores in area not to mention they open like 5 or 6 am. So are they just super cheap or afraid of a couple homeless people at night.

Seems like a lousy reason they are afraid of what 2 homeless people give me a break there lazy straight up kick out the negative people let us normal people get what we need.

Safeway used to be 24 hours but in the last year they changed to being closed from 1am to 5am. I asked what the reason was and they said it was hard to maintain theft during that time and that their night crew was not able to get the stocking done. They were having to spend too much time worrying about the random people wandering around the store. The Safeway up on 176th is the same way, but the one on Meridian is open 24 hours.
