If you do not have a medical card you can only have up to 28 grams of flower on you at a time. Also you can only grow up to for plants. However with a medical card you can have up to a 60 day supply, whatever that is, you can have scales, you can donate amongst other medical patients. And I think it is 16 plants you can have at one time with a medical card. Just Google your answers next time, more reliable and faster.
Doesn't having a med card also allow you to grow up to six plants legally, whereas you couldn't do so otherwise? That was the only advantage I could think of but was wondering if there were other advantages I didn't know of.
In washington you have no need for a green card... i do believe your medicL card will work in other medically legal states.. however check local laws first
