I am looking for a support/service dog. I love Pit Bulls, specifically the medium size due to their strong muscular backs. I need a dog I can lean on or that can pull me up from a ground if I can't get up myself.

Hi Debra! Many of the Working and Herding breeds have strong backs, good work ethics and would make a good support dog for you. Mud Bay had some excellent suggestions. You might contact breed rescues in the breeds you like and see if they have any rescues and/or recommendations for an experienced therapy dog trainer who could train your rescue for the support that you need.
