Why only 2 registers out of 20 open on any hour of the day???? Why 100 people forming huge line have to be mad at pisspoor decisions that management makes to safe a few bucks????

If you're shopping at WinCo, then obviously you already understand something about "saving a few bucks". Of course they hire less staff to save a few bucks! The staff here are pretty much all kind and helpful, but yes the lines can be slower than the expensive places. This is a classic example of that saying, "Good, fast, cheap - pick two". WinCo is what happens when you pick "good" and "cheap" - the speed suffers. But it IS good, and it IS cheap. And you can go somewhere else if you want to. 🙂

If you're shopping at Winco you're not paying for good service.

I was there earlier today and the lines were pretty bad too. Some of the checkers looked new... That's the only thing I dread are the lines. Prices are awesome tho.
