This Safeway is supposed to be open 24 hours I just went up there and they were closed and locked up on both sides but yet their thing shows they're open when they're not that's ridiculous

The only time I remember they closed like that was for the setting up of the new cash register systems with the card sliding machines or whatever maybe that's what they were doing

They occasionally close for major store reconfiguration or floor work.

They will usually post Holiday hours, it is not uncommon for grocery stores to close early on Christmas Eve and close all day on Christmas. There is an option to suggest an edit on hours, it is possible no one else added the change? Otherwise, I'm not sure what the protocol would be for a store needing to close. I'm sure the experience was unpleasant, I do hope you were able to find what you needed elsewhere.
