Allow at least an hour to tour the visitor center. If you want to hike the trails and climb windlass hill, allow extra time.
It is in sections. There is a part that is farther east than the main park that has a sod house and trails. There is the main park that has an old school house and other buildings and trails. To explore all of it can take the better part of a day.
