No appointment needed just drive up and wait outside the front door they are pretty quick and efficient
You can pay for your car tab renewals online at www.dol.wa.gov and choose either to have them mailed to you (pay by check or credit card,credit cards have a small extra fee) or pick them up at the Auburn branch. If you go just give your name an show them your Driver's License to the person working out front and they will go in and get it for you. The other option is to go and tell the person out front what you need to do (renewal, new vehicle, title transfer, etc,) and they will give you a number and you wait in your car till it's your turn. I just renewed my car tabs and paid online and went to pickup. It was very quick and easy to do.
