If there is another party being seated at the same time that you arrivr or has just been seated, they will add you to their table for the sake of efficiency. There is zero point in them heating up the whole grill and doing the process for a single person. Thats not the point of sit down hibachi. And their ingredients are preportioned for 2-8 people so that would also force them to set that up separately just for you. They can however do takeout which eliminates the issue, since they cook it in back. And their takeout is amazing btw.
I was there not that long ago and was able to sit in the hibachi area by myself. That seems to be against the usual policy or they've changed it very recently. I feel as though that's discriminatory behavior.
They have put a couple different parties together at a hibachi if there are only a few people in each party when I've been there a couple times... Definitely within the last year, they must've changed things :(
