Unfortunately, it goes in as garbage rate. They do, however, have an option to recycle flat screens.
Older big screen televisions, and any televisions, computer monitors etc, can be taken to Goodwill for free e-recycling. Washington provides a website listing all sponsored drop off sites in addition to Goodwill.
