The game shop side has tables where you can sit and try out games from their lending library with no obligation to buy food or drink, and courtesy would oblige you to buy something if you're sitting on the cafe side. The cafe often has a waitlist for tables on the weekend and in the evenings. You could also bring a game from home or buy a game there to play, but with hundreds of games to borrow it's not necessary.
We've also brought our own games before and had no problems provided we made a purchase at the restaurant. Even just a drink is acceptable.
They are free to play ... It's a nice way to try them out. Just make a purchase of food or drinks 😊
I believe they're free if you've bought something at the cafe. I do know you can check them out at the front, but I don't know the whole process.
