It's best to make a reservation, they are sometimes booked and cannot guarantee a walk in availability. Best time to go is apparently in the winter, but, i highly advise not going in summer. The wolves like to start cool in their shelters and you won't see much. I also hear early a.m. is best for activity.
Yes! Buy tickets through their website and you get a nice tour to see some of the more social wolves, if they decide to make an appearance. 🙂 Regardless, you get a friendly, knowledgeable guide in a beautiful location.
