You don't need to show ID for domestic flights. You've shown ID to pass security and buy your ticket. That should already have been verified.

If it is a domestic flight..not international.. however, there is talk that soon you will need a passport yo board any plane for domestic as well as intetnational..

you must have the boarding pass to get to the plane
