Is there any place at Sea-Tac that I can meet passengers and have a meal without going thru security? Is the only way to clear security is with a boarding pass?

There are restaurants before and after security checkpoints. Some of the better restaurants in the or after security. Security is very easy to go through, as long as you don't mind taking off your shoes.
