BEFORE October 1, government issued ID. AFTER October 1, you need a RealID. To find out what qualifies as REALID your can Google 'RealID + whatever state you reside in' ie RealID + California. Hope this helps!
State id or travel pass will work as well
TSA would evaluate your identity by looking at any personal cards you have like credit card, Costco card, etc. And try to match them with their database.
