I have purchased salted Ginger snacks from Uwajimaya's before. I would ask an employee to show you where the ginger snacks are. Be specific about what type you are looking for though.
Are you looking for the salted that you eat like sourballs? If so,go to the Great Wall asian market,just inside the door to the left is a Chinese herb shop and thats where I get my ginger.

They have a ton of exotic candy, half of which is in the language from the country it originates. Your best bet, is calling the store itself, and asking, this might take a free tries. You can also explore the store yourself, it's quite the adventure.
