You can get away with a shorter wait if you go arou d 4 or 5 they will open up the upstairs allowing more seating for dinner and quickly seating quite a few.
We went last week. They took out make, like reservations for two days ahead. But on that day, we only had a 5 minute wait. So call them.
Yes, you should have at least one months reservations. The bar seats maybe a dozen
