Yes it is, Dogs must be on a leash and not loose, the dogs should not be in the water. Many people have taken their dogs here. Just be sure the dog is always by yourside.
Make sure dogs are leashed raccoons are all over and not afraid to come towards you

Dog beach is very nice St Lover's Key, a few miles ZNorth at Fort Myers Beach, Florida. It's reserved for Doginoids and their Humans.. and beautiful too.. I met a beautiful Angel there named Katie.. it's not ten miles north of Delnor Wiggins.. beautiful place..
My assumption is no, dogs are not allowed on public beaches. There is a dog beach up by Lover's Key
