Can my dog stay in the cabin with me? Site say pets aren't allowed. I was just wondering if that's really true.

Yes, as long as you have a leash for them.

Read the Garner Website for clarification. Pets are allowed in the park and with you on campsites (primitive and hook ups) as long as they are leashed etc. Pets are not allowed in any State Park building, cabins or rangers stations (I was reminded of this last weekend when I brought my two in to the lodge to make a reservation.) We have many years of happy camping with at least 2 dogs in our group at all times. Last weekend, we rented a cabin at Whiskey Inn, 5 mins from Garner State Park where we paid a pet deposit, had A/C and reserved day use at Garner. Great weekend. Good luck
