I just came home from the weekend there and you shouldn't have any issues.
Just pay attention to where people park campers, etc. You shouldn't have problems this time of the year.
We have a Honda Accord so you'll be just fine in your trailer.
No you won't get stuck as far as I could sea....lol. There is a free entrance down from the entrance to Surfside beach that has somewhat of a gravely entrance with a few dips in it. Great place to hangout and peaceful away from the summer craziness on Galveston Island.
