Do I need to call and make reservations if so how do I do that?

Camping is pretty much get in where you fit in, unless toy want a site with power, then yes you do need to reserve. If you're just going for a day to tube and swim then no you can't reserve. You pay once you get there. They rent tubes, but you can bring your own.
