My boyfriend and I were looking for free campsites along the coast, while I am already sold by the amazing photos and reviews I was wondering if you were allowed to camp not on designated sites? We are worried that all of the sites will be taken up

Hmmm. I only saw a couple of sites on the trail but one was definitely big enough for a few tents. Might be easier this time if year, especially if you go during the week.

There are 5 designated sites however 4 of them have multiple spots for tents so as long as the parking lot is not overflowing you should be able to find a spot
