The short trail on top near the visitor center and formal garden is flat and an easy 10 min walk. The trails down in the ravine are steep and narrow in spots, with uneven surfaces and exposed roots. They are not at all handicapped or cane accessible . They are very interesting to visit because it is different environment than most of Florida and take about an hour to explore. The trail next to the spring fed stream is flat and easily taveled but the loops onto the hillsides are difficult and maybe dangerous for anyone with walking or balance issues. The steps to get up and down to the spring and stream are good in some areas and partly washed out in others.
Hi Chief_Trukalot Our Trail systems are considered Strenuous with exposed roots, old/uneven steps and some steep slopes in the trails. we have 2 trails at the Ravine Gardens and one road. Our road is 1.8 miles and is asphalt paved. it circles the entire ravine system and has many entrances on to the ravine trails. The road is currently closed to vehicle traffic due to hurricane damage but is open to walking/bicycling. the 2 ravine trails are the Azalea Trail and the Springs Trail. The Azalea Trail is 2.5 miles in length and is the more difficult trail to navigate. The Springs trail, while easier to navigate is currently split in half. the washout affecting the road is also affecting this trail. the trail is 1.6 miles in length.
There are two trails. One is paved and easy to walk on. The other is a dirt trail that is narrow and steep.
There is a road around the ravine which is paved asphalt and 1.8 miles. I'm not sure how long the different trails within the park are. They are mostly dirt and some of them are a little steep.
The path(road) is 2.6 miles, I believe it is still closed to vehicles from hurricane damage but the road is very nice to walk ( curves and hills) and just absolutely beautiful!!! Paved surface...
Very steep in places with uneven and, in places, broken and cracked high stairs. About a mile and very pretty, two "air" bridges. Fun for hikers.
1.8 mile paved
There are several trails. Most are narrow, some are difficult. There is one that is paved.
There are several trails, accessable from different points, so trail distance can easily vary. It would be easy to hike only a short distance befoe returning to the road (which was closed ti vehicular traffic when I last visited in March). The trails themselves are not ADA accessable, and in places would be made easier with the help of a hiking stick. Portions of the trails are very steep, or include steep concrete steps, and portions are very close to the edges of the ravines.
It's paved and it's about 2 miles.
