Its a mud pit...water is not clear. Alligators well its Florida. Worth the trip to go to Deland Barkley Dog Park...all grass man made pond with no gators. Maintence on grounds at all times.

No alligators. Too much activity. They prefer to hunt on the sly. There are at least 10 to 20 dogs during the week and 3 times that on the weekends in the water at all times not to mention their owners. Not gator friendly.
I have not seen any alligators either. But they do have warning signs for them. The water you can see about maybe 2 feet deep or so , more than that it is too cloudy.

Yes, I have seen alligators on the lake there. However, there is too much activity usually to spark any interest on the dog side
