The above answer is correct. The canal which runs from the Locks Eastward is fresh water. From the locks westward is salt water. When driving into the park, the water on the right, where the condos are is saltwater. On the left is the canal and that's freshwater. I see most people fishing in the canal.

Yes freshwater license is required from the locks to to the left. Salt water is required from the locks to the right towards the high rise bridge
