Does anyone have any suggestions for booking? I've been trying every single morning for next year and by 8:01 all the sites are gone. I must be missing something, it's very frustrating!

You usually have to try to book a year ahead when it comes summer time otherwise you can check throughout the day there's a lot of tent sites or sights with no hookup with reservations now it's hard

We keep checking throughout the day because reservations get cancelled. Or maybe a better term is "changed". We think people reserve big spans of time and then when they know which days they're going to be there they cancel the rest. Normal campgrounds penalize for cutting back on reservations and of course full cancellations. But RI doesn't penalize for changes only full cancellations so in enters the gamers. We figure this must be the problem because it isn't really hard to get a reservation if you check regularly for cancellations plus we always see empty spots whenever we camp there. Last time we were there we spotted at least 15 to 20 open sites. Some were prized spots right on the water!

Fisherman's is a joke. You can't make reservations because thay are always full. But any given time you just go to Fisherman's there are always multiple sites not filled. Or being used. The reason is poor management. People reserve sites but don't show up. The management will not fill those sites because they keep them available just in case the people show. Again poor management. I gave up trying to go to Fisherman's. There are too many other camp grounds welcoming my business.

I've started hitting the book button at 759 then when I hit the available button and then the book online button, it's gone. Its frustrating. We've gone 2 times so far. I've been lucky both times. It just takes up alot of my time, lol. Thanks for the feedback.
