Yes, it is a public road and you can go anytime down there. Right now since the river is up and the road is muddy in some spots it is hard to get down through there with smaller vehicles. Make sure you come in a 4x4 to not get stuck! When the river is down there is a beautiful long Sand Bar to enjoy. Welcome to the neighborhood and God bless!

Yes all waters and lakes are public in horseshoe lakes. As for access yes there is a road down to the sandbar but without a 4x4 it's almost impossible to drive down it. From the main road it's a short walk about a 1/8 of a mile.
Yes it's public you have to drive down a rough little road and then you are there.
