I went here last year for a couples trip and we really enjoyed feeding the alligators, kayaking, walking the trail, sliding down into the lake and the swimming pool. We saw deer serval days and our view was beautiful! They have drinks and snacks in the front office for purchase. Con’s: Dusting is needed after every guest. We laid down in the bed and looked up and there were dust and really bad spiderwebs everywhere. No cellphone service but you’re not supposed to use them there unless you take a trip to the office. Horseback riding and several other things were no longer an option.

I have been to the Retreat at Artesian Lakes many times over the years and recently spent the long Memorial Day weekend in the Reset private home with some friends. This destination is the perfect place to relax and refresh. On top of it all, it’s only a 45 minute drive away from us. I have always recommended The Retreat at Artesian Lakes in the past and will continue to do so moving forward.

This place was phenomenal. Cabins were clean and spacious, and the grounds were immaculate. Chef Scott and his wife really made this a memorable experience. Cannot thank them enough

I’ve been a guest probably a dozen times over the past two decades. My experiences have always been good…until now. My fiancé and I rented one of the romance cabins because of the jacuzzi tub. Once we were ready to use it, we were extremely disappointed to learn there wasn’t enough hot water to fill it. Too late to call maintenance, the romance was gone. Management refused to offer any compensation, discount, or credit and did not even return my call.

Way back when it was Chain-O-Lakes you could tent camp. New owners took away that option.
Each cabin/private home has a maximum occupancy that is stated on the website. You can have up to the maximum. Feel free to contact our reservations desk if you have any questions. (832) 397-4008.
Yes, kids are an acceptable form of payment. But they must be old enough to do dishes and mow the lawn.
Please call our Reservations Desk at 832-397-4008 or visit www.artesianlakes.com. Hope you can visit us! Thank you!!!!
I didnt see none u park at your log cabin but yogi bear resort does
Yes you can. Just let the main office know so they can give you parking passes or to suggest you for a bigger cabin.
You can bring alcohol to the cabins, you cannot bring to the pool or anywhere else on the property.. we sell alcohol at the restaurant but you cannot leave the restaurant with it (TABC guidelines).
No, breakfast is not being offered by current restaurant management. Thank you!
No, dogs are not allowed. Thank you.

Hi Kaci, All the cabins has a kitchen. It includes microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, dishes (cups, plates, and silver wears) and stove. It also has table with chairs and other miscellaneous items.
They have strict rules because of Fire Marshall regulations who set the occupancy allowed for each cabin. I would definitely give them a call to see about rules or larger cabin. It's a beautiful place!
Yes but it can be sketchy. Got service with AT&T and Verizon.
I do not believe they have day passes any longer. Although on the weekend I am pretty sure The Hilltop Herb Restaurant is open on the weekends for dinner reservations.
No but the do have eye in the sky. My kids and other kids was running around the pool and a guy pulled up to tell us to tell the kids stop running
At night he dresses up like a ninja and scares people gathered around the campfires.
For prices for a cabin call the resort if you're having problems with the website. Things are starting to get busy as summer is around the corner so the cabin you are trying to look at may be booked. There is someone at the front desk till 5 every day I believe. Michelle is very nice and helpful, she can answer any questions you have.
Not quite sure about the rental but they do the horse and carriage for free on Saturday
U can get a regular cabin that the retreat own for around 150 a night. The privately owned ones are about 400 and up a night
Good luck getting them to answer. General number is on their website.
