I’ll be in Deer Park for about a week because of work and was wondering if this was a good place to fish?

No recent personal experience, but fishing friends agree with MB, Clear Lake Park is better for fishing. It's located on both sides of Nasa Parkway - driving toward 146, it's past Space Center Blvd, in Seabrook. Has a fishing pier and boat launch. Good luck!
