Yes walk past the ticket entrance and there is a scan everyone goes through before entering six flags, everyone's ticket gets scanned.
You should have received an email with your official tickets. In the email is an attachment with a barcode. The barcode can be scanned and used for entry into the park. As a backup its good to have the email accessible on your phone as proof.
Barcode is fine. If you paid for parking, show them the code. When you get to the gate, you show them the barcode and they will give you your cards.
