You can ask the staff who manages the line, and some lines do have an eta clock posted up somewhere.

Only by looking at the line. The app don't always give realistic number. This is the sad part of such adventure parks that we waste lot of time just waiting in the line which sometimes kill the excitement to come next time.
In the app, sometimes it tell you the approximate wait time, I've seen from 5 minutes to 180, but they dont always update, or put it in in general. I consider it luck if the wait times are put in the app.
Most rides won’t take less than 20 minutes to wait, but then again it depends on the ride. For example king da ka no doubt is a 40 minutes to 1 hour wait.

If you have the Six Flags app, looks at the option "Rides". As you scroll down, the wait times are shown. I have gotten bit once with the app times not updating but for reference information, it is ok.
No to be honest there is no way even asking the stairs they don't know the lines are relatively really long you can wait up to an hour and Six Flags to get on a ride they do have this fast Flash that you can basically jump the line it is costly for it but if you don't intend on waiting go with that hope I was helpful

No but some rides have signs giving you a est of how long the wait is while you're waiting on line
