I visited your mine in oct and I believe I found a smokey quartz mixed with clear quartz. Is this possible?

Yes, there are many variations in smoky quartz. There can also be inclusions from other minerals. I hope that you had fun, and I hope you enjoy your crystal!

Yes it's probably Smokey quartz they are not always dark through the whole crystal good find usually you don't find many at Coleman's I've been digging there 25 years and still am hoping to find one as they get farther in the veins it is quite possible you found one nice.happy digging
