It depends on the time of day your making the trip. However I would believe around 2-2.5 hours.
Cedar Point is about 2 hours away from Columbus.
Know that the hotel breakers is a very nice place to stay but carries a much higher price tag than most hotels
It's about 2.5 hours if you take I-71 N and OH-13 N. There are hotels onsite as well as tons of them in the Sandusky area if you are going to stay Milan Rd is one of the main roads that has any store or restaurant you might need.
It is about 2-1/2 hours. As Joy mentioned in the previous comment it is worth it. I also recommend getting a hotel. Cedar Point is a large park and there is lots of walking involved. They even have a hotel called Breakers that is right in the middle of the park. It is the perfect place to stay.
About 2-2.5 hrs it is worth the drive though you can also rent a hotel room right there and stay all night
