Please Google " target shooting on Michigan public land " it is most assuredly legal. Rules are also posted in most parking lots. Please be respectful of others that use our game areas. My wife and I not only hunt and fish but also enjoy many other activities. Pack it in. Pack it out.

https://www.michigan.gov/documents/dnr/LUOD_458859_7.pdf This is a pdf. Reference Chapter 3, page 13. With specific reference to Section 3.2a State game areas and wildlife areas, target shooting, prohibited conduct. Short answer is: Yes, you may target shoot. Respect your firearm, the land you use it on, and the others who may be utilizing the same land. There is also a DNR Range, open to the public, located on Sharon Valley road.

Yes you can I do most weeks in spring -fall. Just follow range rules and be respectful to other shooters. I've never had a bed incident when I was out there.

For you saying no. Why? As long as u don't destroy the land and clean up afterwards...I don't understand why you couldn't! And it's public land, correct?
