Is this the only museum as such in the state of Missouri? I’m asking bc I would be traveling from St. Louis to this area about 3 1/2 hours that’s a lot of gas and money spent to get here and spend about another 200. Looking for other attractions

There is Fantastic Caverns, a cave you ride through and there is Route 66 car museum. But I would echo some of the other comments. Wonders if the World is great and you'll want to allow yourself plenty of time. With a hand stamp you can leave (like to go eat) and then return the same day.

I know their is a small one close to Eldon by the lake but it's info about the lake and its start. The Wonders of Wildlife museum and aquarium are really big there at the Bass Pro. And you can stay all day. We didn't even see it all and were there several hours. At certain times of the day you can pet the sting rays that having been altered not to sting you. I think there is another big one around there but don't know for sure. Google museums around Springfield MO and out will probably tell you. :-)

I drove up from Kansas City and that's about 3 hours drive to see this and it was well worth it

I am sure there are more, but if you are coming to Springfield this would be it!

It takes a minimum for 3 hours to walk through... that's with no stopping and minimum reading about animals & artifacts

Ooooo yes I don't think there's another one like it anywhere it's well worth the money and the time if you're a senior citizen and need help walking they have electric carts to rent because it's about a mile while now a mile and a half walk just for the aquarium it is terrific I was there today
