I've been riding/walking there for 4 years and have never had any issues. The Cayce PD patrols there on a golf cart.
There are rangers as well.
The area is pretty safe. Pretty much the whole trail is lit at night. Though it is kind of in the middle of no where. So just use normal common sense if going alone.
It's safe, but always be aware of your surroundings.
The park is very safe. Do not however come out at night. And the police do not necessarily recommend single female coming into the park alone. If you do come by yourself just be aware of your surroundings too many people put in the headphones or the ear plugs and are totally oblivious to what's going on around them. Just think and be safe.
I have always been safe and lots 9f people around on trail regardless of the time of day.
It's pretty safe. There are usually quite a few people out there walking/running/bicycling at any given time during the day.
