Nice long trail good for a bike ride or a long walk. The trees offer lots of shade. Feels good when the wind decides to blow a little. This time of the year is muggy and hot. Still nice trail they have water station to fill up your water bottles . Also doggy water bowl available.

The trail is in excellent shape making it an easy track. It is wide enough for bicycles and indeed we met up with several cyclists. The trails are mostly shaded so you won't have the hot sun beaming down on you. I fully recommend this trail to anyone wanting an easy trail to wander on.

Been on this trail several times and it never gets old! Worth the 1 hour, 15 minute drive to explore!

This Trail must have cost a gazillion dollars. It is a concrete 3.5 Mile Trail with hairpin turns throughout. We also got to let'er rip on some nearby secluded roads and ended up having just over fourteen fun miles. Never heard of it before... Just found it on a map while headed home to Ohio. Ample parking for our truck and 16 ft trailer. No bathrooms that I could see.

I've been riding/walking there for 4 years and have never had any issues. The Cayce PD patrols there on a golf cart.
There are restrooms at about the halfway point at H. Kelly Jones Park. There's also a nice pavilion there with picnic tables and a small playground. There are also restrooms at the Trail Head where the amplitheater is at Gervais St on the Cayce/West Columbia Side.
I don't know for sure. If they're well trained, you could probably get away with it, but you will be passing other dogs. Also, there may be a leash law in Cayce. I wouldn't recommend it, but more or less your call.
You can access the trail at Hwy 378 near the chicken processing plant on the W. Columbia side. You can also access the trail at the Cayce Boat Landing, The Ottare Point Tennis and Fitness Center on 12th Street Extension near I - 77 at exit 2.
Yes, beware however. I've encountered alligators, rattlesnakes, and water moccasins on and around the trail.
