I am planning on coming to the baton rouge zoo on june 5th I was wondering if their is a picnic area out side of the zoo

We had a nice experience eating inside the zoo with a large family. There is a shaded area near the parking lot if you want but bring your own table and chairs or a blanket

There is area to but a blanket down to eat but as far as tables I don't recall any.

There's parking and it has lots of shade trees outsode the zoo but I dont recall there being tables outside the zoo.

I am not sure, I did not pay attention to that, but it is a nice zoo.
