That’s the preferred course of events, yes. Every now and then a naughty patient will go and develop a deep vein thrombosis or a nasty infection leading to their painful and prolonged death, but rest assured that this unfortunate and rare course of events only occurs in up to 11% of all knee replacement patients. I have every reason to believe that there is an 89% chance that you will survive to bounce your grandchildren on your new knee. Have a great day!
