There is no longer a primitive camping area. In the future the old primitive area will reopen but with many improvements but will no longer free. No plans for opening it anytime soon. But it is in the future plans for reopening that area. There is no longer a land pass needed for the park. A fishing license is required to fish. There is no charge for fishing.
The primitive camping is free. They are building a campground that you can make reservations fit, but there will be a charge to stay at those sites. As with all WMA and PFA properties everyone 16 and older must have a land pass or a hunting/fishing license to be on the property.
I believe that the primitive camping is free. They may require you to obtain a land pass though. I know to fish they require either a pass or a fishing license. Even if you are just in the boat and not fishing they require a pass. But it is less than 10 dollars and last all year.
Sorry don't know if u want I can checked it
