It's about a half hour drive between the bear ranch and the waterfalls. We spent an afternoon at the falls.
We spent a couple of hours at the falls combined. You could spend an hour or pay taking a boat to the other side of the falls
There is an entrance fee. Both the upper and lower falls have trails. There is no need to camp at the falls. You can "swim" at the lower falls. You could spend all day between the 2 falls.
About 25 min. Nice drive
I am not sure about the distance, but you can spend as much time as you want. You can rent a boat, hike or drive from the lower falls to the upper falls.
Just matter of hours spending. It will gonna to awesome for your kids. But mostly fall colors that will be superb to see the water colors and the tree's like yellow, Red.
A couple hours or and afternoon depends if you want to get off the main path and explore trails. You can rent a boat at the lower falls to go across and swim of you want too.
The drive isnt too terrible. My wife and I spent about four hours combined at the Upper and Lower falls and had a wonderful time, they have a little lunch spot you can go to as well.
You will need few hours for sure. Upper fall trail is less than a mile. There are couple of look out spots. You will have to drive few miles to go to lower falls. We saw ppl enjoying in water at lower falls.
You'll be happy that you can spend as much time as you have. The trails at the lower falls are a boardwalk and many spots to stop and take in the view. A cute snack shack and sovereign shop. The bathrooms are also located by them which are by the entrance. They do row boat rentals also.
