Cell towers can be "camouflaged" in order to not destroy the natural beauty around them. In addition, small cell towers can also be installed in such a way that they can be quite inconspicuous. There's a way for technology and nature to coexist!
I use ATT and always have service we use our phones for the weather and GPS of hiking trails..also to keep track of BIGFOOT in the area....
I didnt mind not having my phone, being a computer tech I am always around the tech world was nice to leave the phone in the truck and just take a camera... and yes they can camouflage the towers but let's get back into nature
I spent several hours viewing both lower and upper falls and had no trouble using my cell but the reason I was there was not to use my phone I was there to see God's beautiful scenery and the wonderful water trees and the changes to the area from when I was there in the 60s.
It's not very noticeable
Very good answer DCW to this "question" (more like an uninformed rant IMHO). I spent several hours here, took a ton of pictures and videos, and never saw a hint of a cell tower that took anything away from the beauty.
I was very surprised to have cell connection in the park. I didn't see hide nor hair of the tower in the 3 days I stayed there. It was nice to have the cell signal on the rainy days, but it didn't distract me from the natural beauty of the park one bit.
Some people are on call 24-7. It's nice knowing that a location has cell signal so those people can plan accordingly.
I totally agree with DCW. Also it helps with emergency and finding cool and out of the way place.
