They are doing u pick pumpkins this year. You don't have to call ahead, we went Tuesday afternoon and were able to get ours.
You can you pick both apples and pumpkins, although, depending on the type of apples you want, you may be out of luck. I wanted to pick Johnagolds and the trees were pretty bare. Pumpkin picking was still good as of 10-10-20 though. The market is open. The only thing you have to do ahead of time is the activities, you have to pay for a wrist band online and a time slot in advance. You pick and market are not part of this.
Apple picking is a option. Go to the store and buy a bag and go to the field and pick. The trees were overwhelmed when I picked.
