I can't answer for them . They do carry a lot of products that list 99 cents. The prices end in .99 cents. I don't think k it would have the same effect if it were called the dollar store or the 1 dollar store. It sounds like you are getting a better deal if you're paying 99 cents rather then a dollar. The store is not limited to merchandise that can only be sold for 99 cents.
Hi kathy, everyone has known us for the last 30 years as 99 Cents Only Stores. Our name is a big part of our culture. We are keeping our company name because most of our items still cost 99.99¢ or less.
