You travel in the cart, you may get out but stay on the trail.
Not sure on the pets but you will have plenty of spots to stop and get out of the cart. Cannot walk the trail though.
You can't walk the trail but there are plenty of spots to stop the cart along the trail and take pictures if you want. I'm not sure if it's pet friendly but I didn't see anyone with pets when I went
