Looking for best place in Michigan to spend 3 nights 4 days, camping, hiking, portaging, canoeing etc. 2-3 hour drive from Southfield preferred. TIA.

Sorry, Hiawatha National Forest is located in the heart of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and it would be outside your driving area you would like to be in. Hope you visit this area soon as it is beautiful!

I personally enjoy lumberman's Monument near Tawas. You can hike, kayak, and camp. They also have off roading trails if you are into that. There are close towns if you need and the sunrise at the Tawas lighthouse is fantastic.
