Pawleys Island is heaven on earth!! My absolute favorite place and yes it's quiet and peaceful. You can find plenty of shopping, restaurants and bars less than 5-10 mins off the Island. Highly reccommend it!
Never lived there, but very quiet the several times I've been there. Great beach if you have a family. Much better than Myrtle
